Networked Energy Services Middle East CEO Now Appointed Chairman & Director General of the Lebanese Telecommunications Fixed Line Network

Imad Kreidieh, who led NES Middle East Operations growth strategy, honored by the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications
through his appointment as OGERO’s new leader
 

San Jose, CA, January 5^th, 2017: Networked Energy Services Corporation (NES), a global smart grid solution provider with the industry’s leading Energy Applications Platform (EAPTM), announced that Mr. Imad Kreidieh, CEO of  NES in the Middle East, North Africa and India region, has been appointed Chairman & Director General for OGERO, the leading fixed line telecommunications provider for Lebanon. Imad led unprecedented development and growth for NES in the region and his selection for this new post in Lebanon is an excellent endorsement of his expertise and leadership.
 

With Mr. Kreidieh’s departure from NES, Mr. Michel Madi, Executive Vice President of NES, will be assuming the responsibility of CEO for the MENA region.
 

OGERO (Organisme de Gestion et d'Exploitation de l'ex Radio Orient) was founded by the Lebanese state in 1972 and has evolved to become the main operator of the fixed telecommunications network in Lebanon for the benefit of the Lebanese Ministry of Telecommunications. The telecommunications sector in Lebanon was once lauded as the region’s leading pioneer in advanced telecommunication infrastructure and NES is pleased to see one of its key leaders appointed to such a prestigious position tasked with bringing back the telecom glory days to Lebanon. 
 

NES has always had plans to establish a Smart Energy R&D center in Lebanon, but the state of the current telecom infrastructure has hindered such plans. With Imad at the helm of OGERO, targeted investments into the telecom infrastructure will fasten NES and other global players’ investment in R&D centers in Lebanon. This will surely serve as a growth catalyst for the local economy – creating thousands of new jobs.
