Networked Energy Services Partners with Cover Energy Plus to Help Drive the Smart Energy Transformation in Ukraine
San Jose, CA, June 15, 2021: Networked Energy Services Corporation (NES), a global smart grid solution provider with the industry’s leading Energy Applications Platform (EAPTM), is proud to announce its partnership with Cover Energy Plus (CEP). NES and CEP will be a driving force in the rollout of smart metering solutions in Ukraine, combining NES' highly reliable and secure Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) with CEP’s practical rollout experience in traditional and renewable energy projects.
NES, with its implementation of the Open Smart Grid Protocol (OSGP), has an established position as an industry leader in secure smart grid solutions. With its recent introduction of Grid Watch threat detection and response solution, NES is one of the few AMI vendors that can address the cyber-security requirements of Ukraine’s digitization programs. Through its OSGP implementation, NES AMI offers industry leading communications, with deployments typically exceeding 99% reliability. Resilience to noise is a key consideration in any AMI rollout. NES’s proven performance, again, is a unique qualification for Ukraine, and an essential enabler for DSO digitization.
Cover Energy Plus is a leading organization in the smart energy transition in Ukraine with over 100 major projects in transmission and distribution grids and renewable energy generation to its credit. Through its deployment services, Cover Energy Plus will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of NES’s solution; including smart meters, data concentrators, HES (Head End System) and NES operations, maintenance, analytics, optimization and cyber-security applications. This will leverage Cover Energy Plus’ established competence and experience in the introduction of transformational technology in the energy sector.
“We are very excited about this new partnership with CEP”, says David Thomson, CEO of NES. “The technology NES provides, coupled with the excellent track record and experience of Cover Energy Plus, will be pivotal to the overall smart energy transition in Ukraine.”
“Ukraine has some very specific challenges for its smart grid rollout”, explains Yuri Domansky, Managing Director of Cover Energy Plus. “Together, we have a solution that can help Ukraine face the threat of cyber-attack and accelerate the reliable digitization of Ukrainian DSOs.”
